New Book New Garbage

So Ann Coulter has a new book. I won't even dignify it by giving you the title. It is typical right wing name calling and hate. Just reading the review in the Dailey News turned my stomach. Peace is within all of us and it starts when we realize that we all put our pants on one leg at a time, so to speak. Coulter and her followers would have us divided for ever by race, economic standing and especially politics, for ever. And one more thing, Will the right wing get off of Bill Clinton already? He's been out of office for 6 (six) years and well, where are we now? Eh?

Are You Better Off?

So where are you at? Are you better off now, under the Bush administration than you were under Clinton? I know that I'm not, and I don't think too many middle class and working class Americans can say that they are either. I mean, a tax cut sounds great and most likely is , AT FIRST. But the needs don't just go away, they are still there. So instead of federal tax, we pay more state and local taxes to make up the difference. Property tax has gone up again (which will eventually affect my rent) and we have some of the highest gas taxes in the country in my state. So now I have less money to spend on other stuff. See this isn't working the way we were promised it would. My bottom line is starting to bottom out....................

WHY?

Gasoline Prices as a TAX??????

Last Saturday President Bush compared the high (OK outrageous) gas prices to paying a tax. WRONG WRONG WRONG...... A tax can be repealed, modified, suspended, pro rated, and a dozen other things. Gas prices have to do with the freedoms that corporate America enjoys under the present administration. The President was casting aspirations on the Democrats (who raises taxes? The Dems of course!) by linking gas prices to taxes. Big Media missed this one folks........ Meanwhile Exxon-Mobile gives a retiring executive a 300 million dollar plus golden parachute...and I'm straining to find the money to put the tiger in my tank. Thank God for my bicycle and my resolve to use it..............................................
